  • Develop your Top Ten - a diverse list of 10 colleges that suits your academic, social, and athletic goals, needs, and requirements

  • Create and implement an action plan that will expose you and your family to the pros and cons of these diverse programs to inform perspective and decision-making

Contact and Outreach

  • Craft a letter that highlights your best marks, your academic successes and your upside as a collegiate athlete in a succinct and professional manner. This can be tailored to individual colleges.

  • Ensure you are prepared for and effective in your direct communications with coaches (we will advise and consult along the way, make referrals to known coaches, and facilitate contact between athletes and coaches)

Communication and Visits

  • Stay in close communication and coordinate strategies for official and unofficial visits

  • Develop a full schedule for visits to all colleges of interest that will be most helpful

  • Ensure preparation for each visit is thorough - the athlete must be equipped with critical information about the school and the program, know the right questions to ask, and have an open mind to take it all in

Decision Making

  • Facilitate discussions between family and athlete about evolving choices

  • Consider all the pros and cons of your options to ensure all aspects of the ultimate decision have been thought through

  • Discuss the differences between decision dates (i.e. early decision vs. final response) and weigh the advantages and disadvantages of all the respective approaches

  • Make sure your final decision is one that feels best and right for you and your family
